First Chief Executive for Northamptonshire Connexions
Adrian Bell has a wide experience of working in support of
young people. Having trained as a teacher and as a social
worker he has spent much of his working life in developing
youth justice practice and has also worked in policy development
nationally for the Youth Justice Board.
He moved to Northamptonshire to lead the development of the
Diversion Unit, which worked with both victims and offenders
to help to put things right and divert people from Crime.
The success of this Partnership working was carried into his
role as Senior Policy Adviser at the Youth Justice Board where
he was responsible for the development of Youth Offending
Teams nationally.
In 2001 he was appointed as Chief Executive to the Milton
Keynes, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Connexions Partnership,
and moved to Northamptonshire, where his family have remained
during his travels, to become Chief Executive in Northamptonshire
in April 2002.
