Results Day – GCSE

After months of hard work, the waiting is finally over for
thousands of students across Northamptonshire as they receive
their GCSE exams results, which will be published on Thursday
23rd August.
If you didn't get the results you hoped for, did better than
you were expecting or are still unsure what you want to do
- don't worry. There are lots of options open to you; these
include Further Education either at a sixth form or at college,
you can choose from a wide range of courses such as A Levels,
vocational courses and more. Alternatively you could consider
Apprenticeships or join a training programme.
Lisa Boland, a Connexions Personal Adviser,
said:
"There are lots of people who can help. Talk to your
parents/carers, teachers, or a Connexions PA about what your
choices are. Connexions Personal Advisers will be available
at Northamptonshire Connexions Access Points and at education
establishments on results day. You can telephone Connexions
Access Points free on 0800 73 13 2 19".
Connexions are also working with the exam results national
helpline, which will be open over the exam results period.
Advisers will be on hand to offer free, impartial and confidential
advice to school and college-leavers nationwide on 0808
100 8000. Advisers will be able to give up-to-the-minute
information on course availability.
