Introduction
What is Connexions?
Connexions is a youth support service for all 13 to 19 year
olds (and up to 25 in some cases). Connexions provides advice,
guidance and support to young people on a range of issues.
Connexions Northamptonshire is a local partnership which works
together to provide co-ordinated support for all young people.
How can Connexions help my son/daughter?
Connexions Personal Advisers give advice, guidance and support
to young people. PA's are based in Connexions
Access Points and some venues in the community such as
Voluntary Sector and Youth Offending Teams. PA's also work
in schools, colleges and other educational institutions. Your
son or daughter may be able to see a Personal Adviser in one
of these places or access the service in other ways.
If my son/daughter doesn't see a Connexions Personal Adviser,
how else can Connexions help?

We have comprehensive information on a whole range of issues
for 13 to 19 year olds.
Connexions Direct
Your son or daughter can contact the Connxions Direct helpline
service any time between 8AM and 2AM, seven days a week, 365
days a year, for free confidential help and advice.
What are the issues that Connexions can help my son
or daughter with?
Personal Advisers can help with the following issues, or refer
your son/daughter to the relevant agency in the Connexions
Partnership: Work and Training (including a vacancy placing
service for young people), Choices, Education, Free Time,
Health, Housing, Law, Rights and Citizenship, Travel and Transport
and Where to get more help.
